cable the first time.
An RF assembly is defined by more than its cable type. Use these four checks to shorten your selection process.
Start with frequency
Specify your operating band and confirm the cable, both connectors and installation can support it.
Budget insertion loss
Compare attenuation at the required frequency and length; include connectors and mismatch in your system budget.
Define mechanical duty
Consider bend radius, movement, armor, jacket and working temperature.
Specify both ends
Provide connector interfaces, genders, assembly length, quantity and any phase or VSWR needs.
Design an RF cable assembly
Explore cable-to-connector options and prepare an initial specification in MTT's interactive interconnect studio.
Let's build your
next connection.
Tell us about your RF band, cable length, connector interfaces and the environment in which the assembly will operate. Our team can review the required configuration and respond with the relevant datasheet or quotation.
