FPGA/DSP Module
Design & customization
Define programmable processing hardware for your RF system. Discuss FPGA selection, FMC+ expansion, high-speed connectivity and the required DSP implementation scope with MTT Innovations.

Make room for processing.
Build for your data path.
The right board architecture depends on converter interfaces, data movement and the workload you need to implement. Use the reference FPGA platforms as a starting point for a clear hardware and firmware discussion.

Explore the published reference hardware below, then discuss the changes your system needs.

Quad-FMC+ FPGA platform
A programmable processing-board reference with four mezzanine interfaces and dual high-speed connectors.
- UltraScale FPGA family
- Four FMC+ interfaces
- Two QSFP connectors
- Ethernet and JTAG

Dual-FMC+ FPGA platform
A second FPGA-board reference for designs requiring two FMC+ interfaces alongside high-speed connectivity.
- UltraScale+ FPGA family
- Two FMC+ interfaces
- Two QSFP connectors
- Ethernet and JTAG
Specifications shown describe the individual reference designs, not every custom configuration. Final performance, interfaces and deliverables are agreed after technical review.
Define what your system needs.
FPGA architecture
Review logic resources, memory needs and the processing workload before selecting a device.
Mezzanine interfaces
Define FMC+ expansion, converter connections and pin-assignment constraints.
High-speed links
Discuss QSFP connectivity, interface protocols and required sustained data throughput.
Firmware & DSP scope
Agree the algorithms, control functions, bring-up tasks and verification deliverables needed for the project.

Share the application
Outline your signal chain, performance goals and integration constraints.
Assess the options
Review reference architectures and the feasibility of requested changes.
Set the project scope
Confirm specifications, engineering deliverables, commercial terms and schedule.
Plan the evaluation
Agree any prototype, test and acceptance activities required for the project.
Is a DSP algorithm included with each board?
The published references describe FPGA board hardware. Any DSP algorithms, firmware, IP licensing and verification work must be separately defined in the project scope.
Are both reference boards based on the same FPGA family?
No. The quad-FMC+ reference lists UltraScale, while the dual-FMC+ reference lists UltraScale+. Device selection should be confirmed for the proposed configuration.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Send the technical brief, expected quantity, required deliverables and target schedule. Pricing and lead time depend on the agreed design, customization and evaluation scope.
