The 1 GHz loss reference alone does not determine suitability: shielding, operating temperature, connector fit and installed length matter.

03 / RF Performance

How cable attenuation changes with frequency.

Model-by-model attenuation curves use only published 100 MHz, 400 MHz, 1 GHz and 3 GHz table entries. The missing 3 GHz values for RG-58 and RG-213 remain unplotted.

Attenuation vs frequency

Each curve connects tabulated reference points for display. No extrapolation beyond available figures.

Lowest to highest loss at 1 GHz

Cable-only attenuation, dB/100 m. Lower values indicate lower attenuation, not necessarily the best cable for your installation.

04 / Interactive RF Tool

Calculate cable-only insertion loss.

Select a model, an explicitly published test frequency, and a physical cable length. Results use proportional dB-per-100-m scaling, excluding connector and mismatch loss.

Estimated cable-only loss—
Power remaining (ideal source)—
Input-to-output power ratio—

Values are reference estimates at the source's stated conditions.
