01 / CHOOSE BY FUNCTION

Two different RF cable jobs.

A feeder is designed to transfer RF with low insertion loss. A radiating (leaky) cable acts as a distributed antenna along the route, so it must be evaluated for both longitudinal attenuation and coupling to the surrounding space.

LOW-LOSS TRANSFER

Corrugated feeder cables

For tower feeds, base stations, antennas and equipment transitions. Compare attenuation at your operating frequency, installed length, bend radius and available power.

DISTRIBUTED RF COVERAGE

Leaky / radiating cables

For tunnels, rail and enclosed infrastructure. Compare longitudinal cable loss, 50% coupling loss and service-band stop bands together.

05 / RADIATING PERFORMANCE

Longitudinal loss and coupling are different.

Radiating cables intentionally leak RF energy to provide distributed coverage. These separate curves must be read together, not combined or directly ranked against non-radiating feeder power curves.

Radiating-cable longitudinal loss

Lower loss means less reduction along the cable, not necessarily better field coverage.

06 / RF LINK PLANNING

Cable-loss estimator.

Use the documented frequency points and your proposed route length for a quick cable-only attenuation estimate. Radiating-cable results describe longitudinal attenuation, not local field coverage.

Estimated cable-only attenuation
—

Uses loss in dB/100 m × length/100. Connector, adapter, mismatch, bend and installation effects are additional. Selectable frequencies are limited to exact source table points.

07 / APPLICATION & SELECTION

Specify the installation, not just the size.

FEEDERS

Antenna towers & base stations

Calculate loss at operating frequency and run length. Check jacket environment, power handling, routing, weatherproof connections, PIM (where required) and grounding.

RADIATING

Tunnels, rail & indoor corridors

Define coverage geometry and service bands. Request longitudinal loss, coupling percentile, reference distance, radiation uniformity, stop bands, mounting and fire/smoke requirements.

08 / REQUEST DATA & QUOTATION

Build your RF cable requirement.

Request a model datasheet, samples, custom construction or quotation. Include the application and installed route to help engineering select the right configuration.

Form enquiries are forwarded to sales@mttinnovation.com through FormSubmit after the recipient mailbox is activated. Datasheet requests do not automatically deliver a PDF.
